During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, my friend Nikki and I hopped into a virtual meeting room and watched horror movies together on a weekly basis. After the credits rolled, we’d stay on the phone, sometimes for hours, talking through the film of the week, dissecting its themes, performances, tropes, cinematography, and more. Sometimes, we’d joke that we should record our conversations and release them as a podcast.
In 2023, we decided to do just that! Horror in the Margins is a show dedicated to highlighting all forms of indie horror and the incredible and diverse creators who are marking their mark on the genre.
