Book lovers, mark your calendars! On September 26, 2026, 10am – 4pm, the Anaheim Central Library will host the second annual Spinal Dread Horror Literature and Culture Festival, and let me tell you, you want to be there!
This library has created one heck of a cool horror event meant to celebrate indie horror authors, creators, and artists. Last year, the librarians and everyone working the event were so passionate and supportive and lovely, and Anaheim turned out! I had a table last year, and I met so many readers and horror fans.
And I’m back, baby! I will have a table at Spinal Dread again this year. I’ll be selling copies of A Taste of Revolution, How Lovely to Be a Woman, and (if they arrive in time – fingers crossed!) limited edition deluxe hardcovers of How Lovely to Be a Woman featuring one new poem, four new short stories, and fresh cover and interior art by Bryan Mok.
But this event isn’t just a vendor fair; the library has a whole day of programming, including a talk with their special guest Marcus Kliewer (author of We Used to Live Here and The Caretaker) and panels about creepypasta culture, vampires, horror comics, and horror trivia.
